How are those two things at all related?
I am sure you can draw a circuit diagram in your head of the components of a system that includes the speakers.

If that is 4 separate channels, then you are bi-amping.my amplifier supplies 4 x channels of 200w ,so i use all 4 to bi-wire the connections.
.
Or an EL84 PP amp for the tweeters, 845 SE monoblocks for the mids, and 4 x 160W SS channels for the isobaric bass.Biamping makes real sense with an active crossover. A big muscle amplifier driving the bass and a refined class A driving the tweeter
The simple answer to the OP's question is that bi-wiring no longer exists.
It is now LGBT-wiring.
'+' ?
The instruction manual for my Avalon Avatars mentioned that bi-wiring was beneficial because it gave each of the drivers its own earth return
Nothing about bi-wiring in the Ascendant manual
I bi wire my speakers as it’s good practice to star earth components in a system...
I bi wire my speakers as it’s good practice to star earth components in a system, cable is CPC special offer, nothing fancy.
Still trying to get my head around this one.

The bass unit is a voltage generator, in a perfect world you could use two wires as they would have zero resistance but it isn’t and they do, so it’s better technically to run them separately back to the amplifier.
It's not.Maybe it's just me, but...

you should be careful saying things like that. or you might get cancelled
