Bath not draining...

If you have a wet/dry vacuum cleaner it will suck the stains out.

Just what I was going to say. I have regular success clearing kitchen sink wastes that absolutely nothing else will shift but that’s congealed grease and not usually hair. The contents of my poor wet vac make me want to hurl though.

Generally speaking, flooding the thing with bleach works - preferably leave over-night. It isn't the actual bleach but the caustic soda in it, which attacks fats and turns them into soap, to greater or lesser degree.
Next morning, if a quick flush from the tap does not work, boil a full kettle and poor straight down.

I have never had to use anything else.

The cause, 99% of the time, is a length of pipe, even quite short, with insufficient fall on it, so that it isn't self-cleaning.

Exactly the situation in my tenanted flat. Unfortunately, the solution is a total renewal of bath etc., not to be taken lightly in a small bathroom.
