All purpose football thread 2023/24 Season

Thought the same.
He definitely moved his hand towards it.
The the ref gave a goal kick.
Something not right somewhere.
VAR had no balls either.
There was contact, so ref’s goal kick decision was a clear and obvious error.

There was also another pen not given yet same foul outside area was given.

Really. I'm just back from Wembley and if we were poor what were City?
Knackered!
Delighted with the win but very, very surprised that Pep chose to play so many of the players who played 120m on Wednesday.
Our squad is small, if high quality, but I did think that this was an opportunity to play people like Kovacic and Nunes and Bobb, even if not all beginning the game. KDB looked absolutely knackered and gave the ball away repeatedly in the first half, if indeed he did haul himself up to a higher standard as the game went on. Despite some of the pundits, I also thought that Chelsea were nowhere near as good as they were eulogised as being. They created some decent chances but, as the game wore on, did very little. No slight on Chelsea, just on the pundits' objectivity.

Agree.
The way they blew smoke up Palmer’s backside was embarrassing.
A good season he’s had but yesterday he was mediocre.
Chelsea showed what they were.
A mess of unthought through signings.
Not a team like City.

Saw Man U were 3-0 up so watched a bit of Fulham v Liverpool. Checked the score at 3-2 and said to Mrs S “we are watching the wrong match”.
Extra time. C’mon Cov.
