All purpose football thread 2021-2022 season II

Congratulations to Manchester City, a fitting repeat of 10 years ago, coming from behind to win the league. Commiserations to Liverpool, but you still have next weekend, just make sure you don't forget your asthma inhalers. ;):D

9th!

When we were on that losing run it looked like we could be dragged back into the mire with games against Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, Man United, Wolves and West Ham to play. We won 5 of those 6.

Potter is the best manager that we have ever had. This is our best ever team. Happy days.
Plus most impressive the way you treated Mark Noble in his last match - Total class and respect:cool:

Watching Brentford yesterday was like seeing Topsy and Tim At the Beach with the kids - minimal effort. Leeds were very fortunate.

Congratulations to Liverpool. Winners of the FFP-compliant league :D.
Without us the Premier League would be a complete walkover, like the German and Spanish leagues, with the winner pre-determined by financial muscle.
A magnificent season and more to come (hopefully, though I'm not confident - we are running on gas and picking up injuries).

Delighted to be a City supporter at the final whistle, then rapidly ashamed to be a City supporter. It may be hard to stop, but it needs to be done. Even if clubs are deducted points; whatever it takes.

You can’t tell the cult anything that breaks through their twisted red tinted view of reality.
They would have failed ffp themselves in 2015 if they hadn’t invented a false accounting lie about the “ new” stadium costs that UEFA fell for.

The premier league is the most competitive in Europe.
Last ten years it has been won by 5 teams, Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester.
Meanwhile in the same period the Bundesliga has been won by Bayern Munich ten times!
The French league has been won by four teams, PSG, Monaco, Lille and Montpellier and the Spanish league has been won by three teams Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona and the Italian league by three teams, Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Without us the Premier League would be a complete walkover
So what you're saying is that without Liverpool - a club that have won the PL once in the last 30 years there'd be no competition for City?
Have a look at the stats - you've run City close this season and three seasons ago - one title in 30 years - the rest of the time you've been nowhere.
Football is cyclical you can't just cherry pick the last few seasons - let's see how competitive you remain when you start losing some of your star players which is an inevetability.

Just ban the first people they get hold of at every match , the message will soon get through .
I doubt it, no-one thinks they will get caught. It needs the other supporters to do something about it, and risking losing the league title or being relegated would concentrate minds.

Quite a bit of shitty mean spirited sentiments being expressed here from victors and vanquished alike. For me it was a great season, the Reds were written off at the start and to give City another tight race down to the last 15 minutes and to have 2 trophies already in the bag was just brilliant. Had Liverpool clinched it they would have deserved it but they didn't and City showed their class and snatched it back, they fully deserve it, the margins are wafer thin at this level, celebrate the victory.
Hopefully we'll be defending the Carabao, FA and Champions League cups against you next season, both sets of fans should be more than happy.
