You could stick Dynamat sheets on the inside of the case - a product that is designed to do the job, albeit typically for car audio or computer vibration reduction.

LP12, bought '84 ish from memory. I now have a home-brew souped up Lenco that started life looking just like the one on post 13, looks a bit different now...

Worth trying in parallel with input, output or feedback caps. Not sure how they work in this circuit, but I have them everywhere I can in Starfish and phono stage, which should tell you I like them !

You can mess phase up at cartridge, interconnect, or cable. I would be tempted to check with CD to avoid messing with cartridge tags, and trace all cables very carefully.
