If you can afford it get a Hugo TT2 and use your Node streamer to provide a digital output, do it. Mine sounds superb into my NAC 552. I have a RP10 as well and the TT2 gives it a serious run for its money with the Node Streamer. Different but definitely comparable
I will never sell mine. A sublime piece of kit. It's the boss in my system. It dictates everything. Absolute control and sensitivity beyond any other expensive pre I have owned before. GLWTS
It's a lovely ole job Tony. I'm from Suffolk too (Southwold) - although I live in Sydney these days. I have been sifting through the system pics thread and spotted your DBLs. I had a pair too before my Kodos Titans. Your's look fabulous :)
Don't do it. You will seriously regret it. I have owned both simultaneously and the 52 is such a vastly superior preamp. You'll lose a lot of what you hear if you let it go.
I have an RP10. Amazing piece of kit but doesn't sound "turntable enough" for me being an ex LP12 owner so I'm probably going to sell it!
Excellent decks though :)
An utterly superb TT. I have exactly the same one as my main vinyl source. A bargain at that price. Mine replaced a fairly high spec LP12 and the difference was night and day. GLWTS.

- 92/90 then 72/140 then 82/250 then 52/3 x 250 then 552 and 300DR. I will take the plunge one day and buy the 500DR.

I know this is a subjective topic but I’m looking at sensibly priced cables up to about 300 GDP. Ideally I want rca to din.
Hugo TT2 to Naim NAC 552.
I’m not a believer in stupidly expensive cables.
Suggestions, experiences and offers welcome
Thank you for your thoughts.
I am certainly interested in the M Scaler and I expect it is the natural path now that I have TT2. Now that I have sorted out the digital source weakness the TT2 really sings. It is a truly superb DAC.
I would certainly not ever consider parting with the 552. It is...
Very many thanks for all the very helpful and constructive replies.
Today I bought the Bluesound Node N130 as an experiment. It took literally 5 mins to set up and connect via BNC to the TT2. The app control interface is absolutely superb and I am controlling the streamer running Tidal HIFI...
