+1. Seems pretty sensible

I'm exactly in the same situation. Pretty happy but I wish Spotify would be more responsive to users. We have been asking for lossless for years and they just don't care. They know they have cornered the market and don't move a finger.

+1 for the A21 although have no heard the Usher. The A21 is a John Curl design and the R1.5 seems a Threshold copy which is a Nelson Pass design. Which legend do you prefer to own? Don't think you can go wrong with either really.

Is Stamford Audio a well established 3rd party provider? I'd love to try one of these on my LP12 but to me even these non Linn parts seem expensive. For the price of this subchasis I can get myself a Technics SL 1200/1210 mk III and not have to worry about much other than music.

I always thought wired was more stable and of course safer as a data transfer method.

Looks good but let's not kid ourselves, Technics is out to get as much of your money as they can. There is no other reason. They are not trying to push the analogue technology forward. It's probably a good TT on a pretty package to demand an esoteric price.

I buy all my HiFi stuff second hand so no one is producing new electronics. I give my gear a long life, I save money and I'm happy listening to music. I don't know why this font is so small .... I guess I'm helping to save the earth there too!!!

I second the opinion that any asynchronous Dac will do the job. People over value the sound contribution of these things and most people ( if any) could tell them apart. Hifi is a business and manufacturers and magazines constantly try to make you believe a cable, a Dac or whatever new...

I had a Nad M3 and value wise hard to fault.It is a. Monster amp at near midfy prices. Most of the Master line is like that. My understanding is that Nad is an honest, value oriented, no nonsense manufacturer very much like Rotel.

I guess that is where noise cancelling technology comes into play. Not only does it allow you to hear music better but it could save your ears by allowing you to listen at sane volume levels!
