Never got on with Laphroaig, it tastes like the inside of a hospital. The Lagavulin 16 is a permanent favorite, never found anything else from Islay to beat it.

Laphroaig is a pretty unique taste, there is not much out there that is like it (Glenlivet for example, is pretty much the other end of the scale). What other whiskies do you like? My recommendation would be a Lagavulin 16. Not cheap, but one of the best Islay malts around.

The datasheet for the amplifier suggests it can work in bridged mode: From the sounds of it, this should allow the bridged signal to be connected to INPN and INNL, look for an application note perhaps.
