    Rack choice

Yep, Tortlyte platforms is what I've used for many years as well. Compared them back in the day to Mana, Mana sounded more exciting and 'faster' more noticeable, but I found the Tortlyte easier to live with. The longer I listened to them I realised the bass was deeper, the midrange was warmer...

Mains block confusion? Which is best?

Yea to me they're awesome, I paid £400 for them 10 years ago, bargain, but use the wrong type of amp with them they can sound dreadful, worst amps I ever had with them was an audiolab 8000q and p and a densen beat 100 was a close second. Imagine to my surprise I bought a musical fidelity b1 from...

Mains block confusion? Which is best?

Arthur - I read some where they do that to keep the rfi as far from the equipment as possible (don't know if there's any truth in it). I'm actually in a really good mood today managed to get my Rel strata 2 connected and blended into my set up last night and have to say very pleased. The yamahas...

Mains block confusion? Which is best?

So my conclusion was actually not to spend £200, but to try a block for £100 with a money back guarantee, so if it makes no difference/ or I don't think its worth it back it goes! And the other £100 I'm spending on some more CDs from amazon. All bases covered! for those interested I went for a...

Mains block confusion? Which is best?

Ok, thanks for all your advice and education (troll) I was not deliberately trying to wind people up as maybe trolling suggests, just interested in all opinions. This has given me all the advice I need to draw a more informed conclusion.

Mains block confusion? Which is best?

Mains block confusion? Which is best?

I know a lot of people don't agree with the whole mains cable debate, just interested to see what people think.

Mains block confusion? Which is best?

What do people reckon is the best mains block under £200 there is loads to choose between. Mark grant? Mains cables r us? Or the missing link? My gear that this will be connected to is a Naim cdi cd player, Jungson ja88d amp solid state class a hooked together with chord solid interconnects...

What are you listening to right now # 32

Celldweller The complete Cellout vol 1 The best Metal/dance album I've heard in a long time (reminded of pendulum but better) so much to like about it, very upfront and aggressive but in a startling way the dynamics and production is top notch, listened to it about 10 times already and I've...
