Get a cheap replacement pair of s pads
Get a cheap compatible pair of pads for the
Beyerdynamic DT770
Glue them to s pads
The 80x sound better and they become an overear headphone and feel soooo comfy
It’s a win win if you don’t like what it does put the original s pads back on
(There is a you tube video you can watch just Google it )
Hi Krenzier
Good question
I have only just got the GS
Both are very good headphone amps
The hd dac1 is a very versatile piece of gear
but with the Gs it is just sorting out what your headphones need and I am using it all the time at the moment in preference to the hd dac1
As they say
Time will tell

Top: Senn 599, Senn 600, Creative (can't remember the name)
Bottom: AKG portables, ancient Senn 201.
MIA: Even more ancient Senn HD400 (couldn't afford the 414), Koss sport clip-ons which appear to have tucked themselves away somewhere.
Sheepskin leather pads in place of the PU leather original ones. I have another pair of SK leather angled ones but very happy with these for the moment.
These are slightly larger and deeper than the originals but the inner circle is the same diameter. No large change is sound (good) but more comfortable, pliable and they seal better.
I'm not really a headphone listener, but I seem to have accumulated a bit of a collection anyway. Clockwise from top:
Grado RA-1 battery-powered amp
Sennheiser PX-100 (I have a second pair somewhere)
Pro-Ject Head Box
Bang & Olufsen Beoplay (wired - maybe H6? not sure)
Audio Technica ATH-2
Sony MDR-XB650BT bluetooth
I really should use them more. I mostly take the Sonys or some first-gen Apple Air Pods when I'm out walking, and occasionally travel with the B&Os.
