Incidentally I notice the Bunna 12 cask strength is up on MoM

I was wary of such young whisky but it's had plenty of acclaim, so I'm, very generously, prepared to give the Cotswolds a chance...I'm also curious because my local gin distillery (Chase in Herefordshire) also has casks of it's very fine base spirit slowly turning golden brown.Nice gear there...the Cotswolds is great value compared to the other new distilleries especially when on offer.
Apologies re the Bunna 12 CS - I was over eager when recommending it direct from the distillery website as it now appears to be cheaper everywhere else.
Roy is covering it and other cask strength releases on his Thurs. vPub this week.

I'm amazed by how many craft gin suppliers there are now.
Yes, from the lowly spud. Made by themselves, local water (via Malvern hills) rather than bought-in natural grain spirit. Tasted at the distillery it tasted like, well, neutral spirit to me.Their vodka is lovely, as far as vodka goes. The several gins were nice too, but I'm not an expert.isn't their base spirit made from spuds. When last tasted it, it was rather mediocre.

Laphroaig were very accommodating at their distillery on our visit. Looking at a snap I took of the bottles, in addition to the 10 yo, we were given the 10 yo CS (either 2019 or 2021 as per your link) and Cairdeas Pedro Ximenez CS to try outside. All lovely from memory, although I may have been swayed by the location!Tenner off batch 13 of the Laphroaig 10 CS in the MoM flash sale.

This is all ex-bourbon cask matured so the first review on MOM is off beam.
For information and without wanting to start another thread war this batch is coloured - "mit farbstoff" on the German bottles.
Well received by Whiskybase reviewers:

Interesting. I've not tried any India whisky yet - must get a bottle in (although probably a cheaper one than that).
This is what I went with this month: https://smws.com/campfire-contentment/ as I pass it regularly on the way from Tomintoul to Dufftown so wanted something from Allt-a-Bhainne (and as I know nothing much about them then it helps that it's cheap).
That looks really good!
I'm going to rejoin I think, my brothers still a member but I let my membership lapse a few years back. Wasn't using it enough really
I've bought quite a few bottles so far and have been pleased with them, plus the ones I typically buy aren't expensive for single cask, cask strength releases - and a lot are from distilleries that are otherwise difficult to find bottlings from.
Tonight I'm having a dram of this one: https://smws.eu/sweet-smoked-salmon-jerky/. It was their 2021 bottling for the Islay Whisky Festival and is a 7 year old, 59.6% ABV from Bunnahabhain. It's peaty - but more the Lagavulin style campfire smoke.
