I do hope Sainsbury’s pull their advertising. They’re our local supermarket, and it’ll be a pain to go elsewhere.

Last week, the country’s leading xenophobe Nigel Farage launched an attack on the heroic RNLI lifeboat crews for saving migrants at risk of drowning in the channel.
Farage was doing it as part of his new flagship show on GB News, the right-wing channel that recently fired a staff member for ‘taking the knee’.
So far, so unsurprising.
What was deeply concerning, though, was the advert that popped up in the middle of his show from Sainsbury’s, the nation’s second biggest supermarket chain.
This matters because not only is Sainsbury’s effectively paying Nigel Farage’s salary by pumping funds into GB News, its well-respected reputation is also helping Farage legitimise the hate that he spreads.
Nigel Farage lost his show on LBC radio after staff labelled him “racist” and called for his removal. So what is Sainsbury's doing helping rehabilitate his career?
That’s why we put this billboard up in Southampton on Friday to pressure Sainsbury’s and other key brands to pull their ads from GB News. The film has already been seen over 1.5M times
Sainsbury’s has so far gone to ground on the issue, refusing to respond to thousands of public messages from its customers. Its silence on the issue is becoming deafening.
So it’s time to escalate things.
We’d love to get this billboard (and a few others) up in key places to let Sainsbury’s know we’re not ok with them funding Farage’s hate. We’ve already heard from staff inside the company that they’re not happy with management on this one, so we really think this can make a difference.

Farage will target another group of public servants after monstering the RNLI. The NHS has been a hate target for him and UKIP before. He’ll probably go after the nurses- why are they asking for more pay now that we’ve created many more nursing vacancies by throwing out all the EU nationals?

I reckon it'll be the Civil Service. There was an article in (I think) the Express (saw it in passing on Google News) where a Government minister was quoted as 'admitting' that relatively few civil servants were back in the office five days a week, so the softening-up process is already underway.

Descended from Huguenot (French) family I believe. But bear in mind that his children have German passports, he left his wife for a European mistress while an MEP and he has no principles beside making money for himself and it all makes sense.
