The mothers competing haven’t just given birth….

Giving birth is not an illness, it is a natural process.
There is not alway ‘physical trauma’ for example a tear, or cut to ease the passage.


It has potential comedy value, but people’s inability to see what to some is obvious can be startling at times.

Agreed, the cycling in general (inc triathlon) has been great, but the BMX was exceptional. It is great to see these newer street sports represented, stuff people anywhere can have a go at.

The ladies BMX comp was amazing, the grit/courage of our finalist was brilliant, to be “the first woman to land a 360-degree backflip in competition - the same trick that left her on the floor during run one” brought a tear to my eyes!

Whitlock is a legend. Saw him a few years ago at the British, there was an epic battle between him and Louis Smith. Both of them finished the pommels removing blood soaked bandages from their hands. It’s not an easy sport by any stretch.
