Nice one. Chelsea are above Shitty. We'll go ahead of Leicester on goal difference, if
if we stop letting so many in.

I wonder if Pep's plonkers will overtake Utd in the race to the bottom?

From Chelsea’s results against United this season maybe they’re the team that should be wondering?

Man City played very well overall and had lots of chances, but LFC made the most of theirs.

Lovren had another solid match. Wijnaldum, Fabinho and Henderson all played very well in midfield and, of course, all three goals were superbly executed.

A well deserved win for LFC at Fortress Anfield!

Went out for a run to calm nerves in the first half of Liverpool Citeh. Great performance by the European Champions. There's a lot of talk of how much Ederson was missed. Liverpool of course were without Alisson for a number of games at the start of the season. Adrian did a great job standing in.

When LFC play with that intensity they're extremely formidable for anyone to overcome... worthy winners today and City can only rue a couple of missed chances... let's keep it up Reds...a great performance in front of Sean Cox and his family.

Still early days in truth and Chelsea and Leicester look capable of pushing the top two all the way this season, particularly Leicester without the commitment of European footie this season, a big advantage if they can stay free from injuries.

Its amazing how football has made such a botch of VAR. So amazing you wonder whether it is being done on purpose to discredit VAR.
Rugby would have brought it back to a City penalty and disallowed the first Liverpool goal. And showed everyone why on a big screen. It would have completely changed the match.

Err no, City handball before it even got to TAA.

Enjoyed the match, was a good game of footy, with plenty of controversy. Was also reminiscing watching the ref, shades of David Ellery back in the day.

The handball was debatable, but it was not a clear and obvious error so VAR not to blame on this one. The penalty that shoulda been in the Arsenal v Leicester game on the other hand, was so clear and obvious even a Daily Mail reader could see it

Doesn’t Rugby have any controversy?

VAR works incomparably better for Rugby. Shown on big screen live for all to see and everyone hears the Open Mic decision making discussion between the on-field Ref and the Video Ref . Rugby flows and the major game-changing decisions are nearly all clear, open and accepted.
It seems to me that one of the problems in football is an FA run by a bunch of fat men in suits with a backward looking mindset that has to be dragged into accepting new technology and then only implements it in a guarded and reluctant manner that means its implementation is full of inconsistency.

VAR is an improvement, but it still has a lot to learn and a little open mindedness at the top in place of the arrogance that says ‘we know best’ would speed up that process

Dejan Loren makes a block, it hits Bernardo in the arm and richohets on to Arnold's arm and another ricochet to his thigh -the referee Oliver was right there and saw it all therefore didnt need VAR although this clearly was checked after the goal. VAR should be used for contentious issues not clear ones that the ref sees and calls?

It's Liverpool's title to lose now. Top 6 for me is as follows.

Liverpool
City
Chelsea
Leicester
Arsenal
United

Relegated

Watford
Southampton
Norwich
