Never gets old

It's Liverpool's title to lose now. Top 6 for me is as follows.

Liverpool
City
Chelsea
Leicester
Arsenal
United

Relegated

Watford
Southampton
Norwich

Deej, What on earth makes you think that Man Utd can make it to 6th... unless you mean Sheffield Utd of course... LOL

City need to have all their players back on the pitch and step up a gear to get anywhere near Liverpool, I'm not sure whether that is going to happen.

City were described as having a mid table defence by TV commentators which is a little unfair because they have lost players through injury.....the same would be said of Liverpool if they for example lost Van Dyke and Robertson.

It was a game of ifs and buts...If Ederson had played he would probably have saved the first goal which knocked the stuffing out of City, if a penalty had been awarded, who knows? but Liverpool have a brilliant front three including the best wingers and also the best wing backs in the league.

Liverpool have a long run without defeat at Anfield ( my team were the last to win apparently) but Its a long season and if City get back into it Its just as likely that Liverpool will lose out against the lesser teams away from home.

Liverpool have a great team and they all stay injury free incredibly , if that continues the show is over .

Article in the Guardian pondering Pep's future, but points out it is only speculation. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/nov/11/pep-guardiola-manchester-city-exodus
Guardiola is in his fourth season at City. He didn’t make it past four at Barcelona. Munich stretched to three. He has a newly built house in Manchester, loves the club and loves his group of players. There have been talks about staying in place until 2021 but with Guardiola it is important to remember he is generally in one of three phases of engagement, phases we might call Genesis, Revelation and Exodus.

Guardiola has definitely entered his Exodus phase, with the loss against Liverpool. Shitty have failed to win The Champions League, despite the fortune spent on them. Even Frank Lampard's Academy tutored youngsters at Chelsea are above the hated City.

"Beyond that it was hard to interpret this reaction to a third Premier League defeat as a sign of good health, stability and plans for the future falling neatly into place. Instead Guardiola seemed oddly isolated, out there operating without restraint, still in the field, a manager who may just have entered the next phase in a familiar career parabola. So much so it is tempting to ask another question. Will he actually be back at Anfield for another league game?"

Hope not.

Jack

It will be interesting to see how many of Littlewood’s many international withdrawals this week will miraculously recover for the weekend.
