Reading through some of these posts, I'm surprised that some of you don't find a cheaper hobby; flower arranging maybe?

Do you really think a UK mains and an IEC plug that cost £110 is being a cheapskate?
Well, for a start off, nobody is holding a gun to you head to buy it and, as others have noted, cheaper mains cables are available should you not have £110 (it's actually £95 by the way) or are not inclined to spend that much....
This is a specialist product with a uniquely designed plug top. and you can pay a lot more for a mains cable!
£95 doesn't buy you much these days in the wonderful wacky world of Hi-Fi.
My comment was tongue in cheek, but I really don't think that £95 is an awful lot of money these days.
Oh, and by the way, that will be a no to the LibDem room
Actually it's £97 for gold plated and £110 for Rhodium plated...
