I have suggested replacing the Dalis with a pair of KEF LS50 metas but the wife says no. Just remember that it's far easier to obtain forgiveness than permission! I will add that the LS50 may struggle close to the wall, mine are 3ft into the room and I still have sock in port hole.

Just a quickie. Anyone having problems with the above? It seems to be with Qobuz as I can stream BBC radio player to CC Audio using my tablet but Qobuz seems to make a connection but the stream fails to connect. I have raised a support ticket with Qobuz but was wondering, is it just me. Thanks Fred

I'm with Qobuz, using their android app and steam through chromecast audio. I find it just perfect. The sound quality at 320kbps was better than Spotify and Tidal, at least at the time when I did my comparison. I've since upgraded to their lossless service, although the difference is not great...

Do as you want. Just remember, forgiveness is always easier to obtain than permission.

You don't tell us which Sony DVD model you have. Are you sure that you've not selected 5.1 surround output? Check in player sound settings and sound settings when inserting the DVD.

Until today I've been using a DacMagic with optical input from both my YouView box and DVD/CD player with no problems. Today I connected a second hand, but new this year, M-DAC in place of the DacMagic to find that the sound intermittently glitches when fed from the YouView box, all is OK fed...
