Thanks, that's probably the case with regards to new gear. Buying second hand from the pfm classifieds will be quite a bit more expensive from now on though...
As someone still living living in the EU (Finland) I've obviously been interested in how things work nowadays for someone who wants to buy items from the UK and import them to the EU. I've been a fan of British hifi for quite a while and owned a lot of gear - Naim, ProAc, Harbeth, Celef among...
At the moment I'm feeding them with a Nac12 RSL/TPR4 Hicap/Nap140 setup. Testing with the Devialet 220pro that I have in my main set I didn't feel the LS8s were forming any kind of bottleneck.
You definitely got a good deal on those. I would think that it would make it hard for ProAc to sell...
Nice comparison! You came to quite similar conclusions as I when I tested the LS8 and Tablette 10 side by side earlier this year. In case someone's interested, my little review is here...

I used a Devialet 220pro to drive the speakers that were located in the middle of a quite a big room, with about 4 m space behind them...
I had speakers on a bookshelf with the result that that shelf was resonating to the touch. Then I bought these Moongel pads: https://www.thomann.de/gb/smile_moongel.htm (about 10 euros) and placed them under the speakers. Now the speakers float on the gel pads with a resonant frequency of about...
Does anyone here know if the tweeter surround foam can be replaced with a similar one that also has the ProAc logo on it? Googling I find that some company in the US (Modern Audio Consultants) had these still a few years ago, but I can't find any info on the company any more.
The foam...
Hi,
does anyone know if it would be possible to install the TPR4 module to the original long sleeve (similar case as Nac12) snaps? I haven't seen one opened anywhere.
