    Moving from Naim

Yes, and that is fair. Done that and had no problem, service is awesome.

    Moving from Naim

Really, who cares? I don't. I will keep this or that Amp for as long as I like, then sell it or use it in a secondary system somewhere. I have a lot of respect for Naim and would always recommend the brand or the products would somebody want to take a safe root. But I like to take risk cause...

    Moving from Naim

The Teddy Pardo I80A has easily beaten my Supernait 2. I keep the SN2 though because it looks nice on my spare rack and a little decadent too ;-)) Sold all my other Naim stuff including DAC, HDX, XPS, HCDR, HiLine etc. as a custom MacMini into a Teddy Pardo DAC sounds a lot better... Chris

    USB DAC with Mac Mini

+1 for "any USB DAC will work." I have a Mac mini feeding a Teddy Pardo DAC and it sounds better than Naim HDX + Naim DAC before and freed up a lot of cash.

    Teddy Pardo i80a Owners Thread

Nice, yes it is really phenomenal. I have replaced my Naim HDX with a Mac mini (supplied by a Teddy Pardo PSU) and never looked back. The Mac Mini connects to the Pardo DAC and that to the I80A.

TeddyCap vs HiCap DR for Naim Supernait2

Your last comment proves to me that you do not know a lot about Naim Amps.:D

TeddyCap vs HiCap DR for Naim Supernait2

See my comments on the I80A thread. Disbeliever disbelieves, I do not care. I have them both, I can compare both Amps almost on the fly if my SN2 were not to take 2 days of warm up ;-)) Sources: Rega RP8, Teddy DAC, Rega Apollo SE Speakers: Spendor SP2 3R2 Cables: All Teddy Pardo...

TeddyCap vs HiCap DR for Naim Supernait2

SN2 = very good Amp SN2 + HCDR = not bad, slight improvement SN2 + TeddyPSU = clear improvement Teddy Pardo I80A = better than any of the above I have owned them all, ran detailed comparisons, sold all the PSU, still keep the SN2 as a backup and happily run the I80A at 2800,-€ vs. 4500,-€ for...

TeddyCap vs HiCap DR for Naim Supernait2

That has been a real lengthy discussion on the Naim Forum. Community there agrees that it is an upgrade but not so much as with the previous SN2. In my case - as I said - it has been an upgrade, but it also costs money, needs to sit on a different level or a different rack and so on. It needs to...

TeddyCap vs HiCap DR for Naim Supernait2

In my case the Teddy PSU turned out to be better than the HCDR with my SN2. But I have the TeddyPardo I80A anyways...and my SN2 sits on a shelf as a backup.

    Rega Aria users

It must not be too close to the tonearm as Rega say themselves and I had a serious problem when it was on a shelf above or underneath one of the NAIM PSUs.

96kHz/24 bit v 192kHz/24 bit from Mac Mini?

I strongly agree with you on that one.

96kHz/24 bit v 192kHz/24 bit from Mac Mini?

It is amazing what kids are offered to study nowadays. Again, University does not seem to prepare for the real life as they say.

96kHz/24 bit v 192kHz/24 bit from Mac Mini?

Well, I have the impression that you do not really know a lot about computer sound optimization. Just keep an mp3 - player running...

96kHz/24 bit v 192kHz/24 bit from Mac Mini?

100% agreed. I use Audirvana and HQPlayer and both are superior using a MacMini with SD card OS X, external PSU and either an external drive or an internal SSD drive only for the music archive. In fact, a MacMini 2014+software+FLAC uncompressed files from 44,1 to 192 blew my Naim HDX out of...
