Well, for me it's not an opinion. Did you look at the link with stats that don't support your opinions?and the same to you

Again, you would be wrong.I am sure the majority do not find a retirement home and the majority are sent for butchering.
There are many organisations out there for re-homing race horses, I know all the horses owned in the syndicate I was with have re-homed every horse. A small percentage of the subs went into a pot just for this.I agree that the courses have become safer for rider and horses, it is what happens to the ones that do not make the grade and ones who retire. I am sure the majority do not find a retirement home and the majority are sent for butchering.
BHA changed the rules a few years ago to stop horses being sent to slaughter.I agree that the courses have become safer for rider and horses, it is what happens to the ones that do not make the grade and ones who retire. Why send them to France? It won't be to become part of the supply chain for human consumption, that's certain. The horses that humans eat in France are specifically bred for that purpose, just like chickens in the UK there is a food supply chain that is specifically for "fit for human consumption" horses. An ex race horse would not meet those requirements (I don't believe). So I suspect it's highly unlikely that any racehorse ended up in France to be butchered would end up on somebodies plate. At least not legally.I've heard stories about horses sent to France for butchering,
Greyhound racing really should be banned. The industry has shown itself, time and again, incapable of enforcing even the most basic levels humane treatment of what are relatively sentient and trusting creatures. It's a bloody disgrace. And what about greyhound racing? If you want to talk about numbers of deaths etc.
I adore greyhounds. I can't pass one in the street without going soppy...Greyhound racing really should be banned. They are wonderful creatures. Often dismissed as stupid, they’re really just lazy and relatively untrainable, which only endears them to me more. I’m a bit torn on the whole notion of pets and companion animals, but as long as abandoned Greyhounds need somewhere to live and a smelly old Chesterfield to sleep on, our family will welcome them.I adore greyhounds. Yes for some reason I strangely identify...They are wonderful creatures. Often dismissed as stupid, they’re really just lazy and relatively untrainable, which only endears me to them more.
Two now, I don't get how anyone can defend this cruelty as being a sport.Looks like you've got your first fatality under your belts.
How completely unexpected.
Well done.
This is a classic case of moaners just moan. Miserable buggers who want everything their way. Millions of people follow horse racing (I have an annual bet on the GN every year) and only a handful of noisy protesters want everyone to do what they want.
