New Naim Powerline Lite

Reading through some of these posts, I'm surprised that some of you don't find a cheaper hobby; flower arranging maybe?

Do you really think a UK mains and an IEC plug that cost £110 is being a cheapskate?

Well, for a start off, nobody is holding a gun to you head to buy it and, as others have noted, cheaper mains cables are available should you not have £110 (it's actually £95 by the way) or are not inclined to spend that much.

This is a specialist product with a uniquely designed plug top. and you can pay a lot more for a mains cable!

£95 doesn't buy you much these days in the wonderful wacky world of Hi-Fi.

My comment was tongue in cheek, but I really don't think that £95 is an awful lot of money these days.

Oh, and by the way, that will be a no to the LibDem room ;)

Actually it's £97 for gold plated and £110 for Rhodium plated, which is all semantics anyhow - I have no issue spending money buying improvements that actually help being able to enjoy my music more. a Mains Plug will not do this, this is fact. It's not that complicated to work out why either...

terrible cable management.

Naim lite any good? I'd be very surprised if they done anything but power your system and thin out your wallet.

I "think" there was a difference with my full fat powerline. Personally I'm certain this lite version will make no difference at all. If there is a difference you will have to listen very hard for it which will totally drive you nuts.

With cables my rules are if you don't hear an immediate and obvious difference you're wasting your money.

I could hear an improvement with the full fat Powerlines on my system. Not heard these new lite versions but would be surprised if they'd produce a similar upgrade.

How is that a no then??? .... have you not got the links ???

[Posted again] incase you missed them first time:

From looking at it, they use the Rhodium plated set of plugs @£110

Chord must be paying a fortune to have their own versions in White. Guessing at least £1000. Or maybe not...
