Your amp history...

Sinclair 2000
Armstrong 521
Armstrong 626
Armstrong 800 series + some QUAD preamps
Add various other amps more recently for occasional uses. Mainly use 800s and a 626 and some quad pres (modded for sensitivity and tone controls).

Cambridge audio A1
Yamaha 592 (still have this somewhere)
Roksan K2
Naim 5i
Sugden A21se (current amp)

Right....
Out of these, I still have the bottom Bryston B60 (from 2019) and the DIY Decware Zen which has been in and out of the system since 2013. I do have a Cambridge Audio A5 in the garage and a Bantam Audio Stealth used for the TV speakers.
All in date order, real up and down over the years from various stages of selling up and starting again, moving house many many times too.

I've had a few of Sony TA-F770ES amps, one I bought back a couple of years later, and the Bryston B60R was two seperate ones.

I never got round to posting on this thread. From memory, and if the order looks a little odd factor-in I have run multiple systems for years, plus I tend to have a ‘subs bench’.

1990:
Cyrus 2 + PSX

2006:
Naim 92/ Nap 90

2019 - current
Naim 72/140/HiCap

Last amp combo is by far the best. Also, moving from Cyrus to Naim - is a big step up - soundwise. While Cyrus is good, it lacks the directness of Naim - which I like.

Looks like you like to change more often than not. I was thinking of audiolab too at one stage….

A60
Nytech 252, then active
NAP 110 active
NAP 135 x 2
Plinius SA 250 mk4
MBL 9008, then x 2

All over nearly 45 years. Not really a box-swapper.

If I had a pair of NAP 135, I wouldn’t be a box-swapper neither, for both my ears and lower back vertebrae !

Very old thread but not posted before...

Nad 3020
Nait 3
Linn LK1/LK2/Dirak
Nait XS

That (alarmingly small in comparison) collection has seen me through since about 1979, with roughly equal time in place for each. Maybe time for a change again...!

A couple of other cheapies for 2nd and shed/office system duties (NAD, T-amp, SMSL) - now gone and using active studio monitors.

Leak Point One/TL12
Goodmans 110 receiver
Naim Nait
Audio Research D76 - Great when it worked
Audio innovations 1000 Pre - excellent
Sumo Polaris - Very good
32.5/160 - almost went down the Naim rabbit hole
Avondale - better than Naim
Primaluna Prologue 2 - Good but couldn’t drive NS1000’s well enough
Audio innovations 2nds - Amazing with P17 open baffles at the time
Eastern Electric Minimax Pre - same
Audio Research VT60 - unreliable
Hattor Integrated ( Hypex + Khozmo ) - Did nothing wrong but stopped playing music
Avondale modified - Great
Django TVC - Total bargain
VT IT85 - what a great amp EL34 mid with solid bass
VT Sig 200 - Sublime

Naim Nait 2
Audio innovations series 300 with Border Patrol Power supply.
T+A v10
New Audio Frontiers 300b Special edition
Accuhorn
Audio Music 805 Monos Silver with Passive Pre
Octave Audio MRE 220 Monos with Audio Music Passive pre
New Audio Frontiers 845 SE
Java Hifi Single Shot Integrated - On Way soon.

First seperate amp was an (ahem) Amstrad 8000, it combusted after about four weeks use then sought refuge in a supersafe brand
Sony something or other which was boring, didn't catch fire in any sense.
Armstrong 426 Receiver - bought second hand, how I loved the Purple Dial, warm sounding, not very detailed yet somehow endearing
Cyrus One - sounded great with an early Rega 3 but swapped for a
NAD 3030 which seemed better suited for makeshift studio monitoring
Onix 21s - expected great things but it had a terrible hummmm, was returned to factory but still hummed slightly on return, was taken when we were burgled, replaced with
Pioneer A400 which I enjoyed
Sugden 21a which I also enjoyed, eventually I felt guilty about its carbon footprint
Audiolab 8000S unremarkably ok, at least it didn't get hot!
Quad 33/303 a little disapointing but maybe needed recap, also tried a 405II, preferred the 303
A&R A60 loved this and had heard many of them back in the day, still have one in the bedroom stereo
Naim HiCap/72/160 BD all service by Class A, also tried with 32.5, sounded great but was becoming more interested in the kit than the music, wanted off the slippery slope
Chinese integrated valve amp - can't remember the brand - another slippery slope with valve rolling, adjusting the bias, though it did sound sweet with the Tannoys I had then
Audiolab 8000Q and 8000P unremarkably ok
Audiolab 8200CDQ (upgraded by he who must no longer be mentioned) bought second hand this seemed a good move but with hind sight it wasn't
Exposure XVIII Super Power, strange set up but preferred this with the 82000CDQ to the Audiolab amp set up
Exposure XIX Pre ah that's much better, goodbye Audiolab
Exposure XXI to replace the XIX, a bit different and has a remote but not sure it is better? Love this Exposure sound apart from the soundstaging being a bit compromised

Recently bought a second hand budget Denon amp for a neighbour, was surprised how good it sounded for the money and would like to try a more up market used Denon at sopme point.
