Whisky recommendation, GBP40 budget

FWIW, the IWSC said of Lidl Islay,
“This is sweet and smoky, with a bit of a savoury and sour edge to balance it. Aromatic, with the dying embers of a barbecue on a beach; a trawler arriving at dawn to port; leather saddles with hay. A very complex and beautifully composed drink, with a bit of floral note and peach Melba sweetness to balance at the end.”
Some of the prose seems trite but they gave it 95/100 and a gold medal so I’ll punt £20 on it.

I’m not certain it’s for me. If the barbecue had been on a patio and the trawler had been arriving for elevenses, no question. But as it stands, we need more information. Had the barbecue been used for the whole brisket operation, or just burgers and sausages? What had the trawler caught? Was it sustainable? How many seagulls were circling it?
