What are you listening to right now #64

Lee Rogers - Gameblood.

For anyone who might remember him, he released his debut Drawing Clocks in 2005 and Citizen:General (2012) but that was download only. 17 years on from his debut and a stunning return he released 'Gameblood' in 2022 and it's absolutely superb. SQ ain’t bad either! Also on CD so a bonus there.

Standout tracks, Life and Lies and Barefoot in the Basement.

I like the back cover as well!

Pleased to get a 1985 copy via musicmagpie for a couple of quid.
Not bad sound, doesn’t sound compressed. The original vinyl still sounds better but this c.d. is a good effort.

I knew a woman who had Mark King as a neighbour when she was growing up on the Isle o Wight.

Today's arrivals. The classic series titles for the month and I couldn't resist the new Bill Frisell! Trying a bit of the Frisell first. It seems to be him integrated with Orchestras rather than him as a soloist accompanied by strings. A collab with Michael Gibbs. Seems to be an Optimal pressing...

Already gone!
