What a gorgeous setting for a concert too.

This was in Blue Note order that arrived earlier today ( see Tone Poet Thread)

Blimey this is a great sounding rercord. I must have streamed it 25+ times via Bluenode/Sonos/Spotify, over headphones and through my system via the Blue Node integrated DAC and had absolutely no sense of how dynamic the recording was although I enjoyed the music a lot.

Is this because my vinyl playback ( via Gyro / Manley Chinook/ Leben 300) is way better than even HD streaming or because I now need to drop £2-3k on a better streamer or DAC to match my phono stage? :eek:

Just not my favourite instrument for a soul jazz / organ jazz session. With apologies to the one or two trombonist members we have.

Can be wonderful in the right hands - Grachan Moncur being a case in point.
