and clicked through to some of her Instagram posts to find the following

We captured, mixed and mastered ‘Bright Future’ with the heart and mind expanding process often referred to as AAA, which stands for Analog-Analog-Analog. The first “A” stands for Analog Recording, which means the entire record was recorded to Analog (magnetic) Tape. The second “A” stands for Analog Mixing, which means we mixed the music from the Analog Tape through an analog mixing console and to another reel of Analog Tape, this time stereo. And the final and third “A” stands for Analog Mastering, which means we made the vinyl records by playing back the stereo Analog Tape and cutting that audio directly to the Acetate used to make the records you can buy and play on your turntable. Though this process is laborious, the results can be transcendent. Adrianne and I never once looked at a computer screen while making this record. We always had to rewind the tape to listen to the mixes again. This process forces you to slow down, to do things in a more simple way, and to work from some fairly extreme limitations. And when we work from limitations, we are forced to ask ourselves “what’s important here?” AAA means you can’t have it all. You can’t do everything. You can only do what matters most. Hopefully we answered that question in a way that is impactful for everyone who gets to hear this record.” - Phil Weinrobe, Co-Producer & Engineer of ‘Bright Future’
