Just reading about Sir Charles Thompson. He was already in his late 50s when he recorded this but would go on to the ripe old age of 98. He passed away in 2016 in Tokyo where he'd moved fourteen years earlier with his Japanese wife after years of regularly visiting and recording. I really like his bluesy playing on this LP. I might keep my eye out for more of his stuff.
Autumn’s Child ….Captain Beefheart. IMO his stand alone best song and he’s had many near- best (his best)songs)and one of the best songs produced in the last 50/60 years.Saw him in Edinburgh, full of acid . Every note ,sung or played, was a capture.
