Giving this a spin yet again after noting very negative comments about over priced vinyl reissues in ‘My experience with vinyl’ thread’. Only to prove yet again to myself how good some reissues can be. I paid just over £30 inc. delivery for it when released in Jan. 2021 and worth every penny. Utterly Superb recording, mastering and pressing. Totally silent background. CD and Downloads are not even close. About as near as you can get to having the musicians in your room.

Vinyl, Tone Poet reissue.

This prompted me to get this out for a play.

Its a great record but I still find it slightly off putting that Art Taylor's drums seem to be in front of all of the other instruments, especially Gordon's sax on Tanya. It's less noticeable when Byrd is soloing and then goes further down in the mix when Drew is soloing. Odd.
 
Was the new slowdive, now murcof’s alias sessions, which appears to be happy played at either 45 or 33 (started out at 33 but then thought things were sounding a bit different to the download :))
