I've been listening to the same record everyday for 2 weeks interspersed with other music.
Previous one was Spain's "Mandala Brush", currently R.E.M.'s "Collapse Into Now".
One of the myriad of second hand CDs bought over the years that I have not listened to more than once.
This covers 79 - 95. I did have Broken English on cassette years ago but this is the only Marianne in my CD collection.
An album included in a pot luck Blues bundle - Muddy Waters - folk singer.
Partly due to the limited frequency range - solo voice and acoustic guitar + soft percussion - it suits full range speakers wonderfully well. Every plucked string sounds absolutely right. (Does the absence of a crossover improve timing/phase/attack/decay?)
Hard to believe it was recorded sixty years ago.
