Bought this on vinyl in 1987 and have hardly listened to it. My wife was listening to Devil in Disguise on the car radio and asked if I had any Elvis. Dug this out, put it on and I must say it has been a revelation played through a decent system. I now understand what all the fuss was about - what a voice and some amazingly good production as well!
edit: several hours later. I have played this album a few times through. It is a cracker. I was worried that it would be lame. Nicely done, and some lovely drumming. It all works better than expected. I haven’t opened the record yet. That will sound amazing I guess.

Canned Heat - Vintage. Early sessions from before their first LP produced by Johnny Otis. They can be pretty tedious, but this is tremendous, pithy garagey blues like early Beefheart.
