Great album. Saw Nick live round about this time in the Aberdeen Music Hall on his own with an acoustic guitar - a great raconteur and performer.

Mudcrutch 2 - Tom Petty getting his old band back together again. Not too risky if the members include Heartbreakers Mike Campbell and Belmont Tench plus Bernie Leadon’s ( ex Eagles ) brother Tom.
Country tinged rock with songwriting contributions from across the band.

Bought the CD the other day - where is the lovely dynamic range of the originals? If it wasn't 2nd hand I'd send it back.

Actually I’ve just remembered I also saw him with Ry Cooder -therefore half of Little Village - in Edinburgh in 2009 - that was a superb pairing where they had Ry’s son on drums and they did a mixture of their own and LV’s songs.

I can’t believe I didn’t recall that concert first!!

I’m actually not so keen on his most recent Los Straitjacket stuff but the Brentford trilogy is superb.
