You’re just showing off now;)

I’ve not bothered with the Los Straitjacket stuff tbh.

Let’s agree on the brilliance of the earlier stuff. Although I’m sure he’s not finished yet!

If there’s a more poignant ode to a feeling of failed aspiration than “What’s Shakin’on the Hill” I haven’t heard it.

Robert Palmer - Pressure Drop - original vinyl - For his second solo album after leaving Elkie Brooks and Vinegar Joe Robert hooks up with Little Feat who cook up a backing funkstorm behind RP’s blue-eyed soul. Apparently there were discussions about RP joining the Feat. Would have been good if this is a measure of what they could have done.

They did collaborate on other albums of course but I think this is the best of what they did.

Boards Of Canada - Tomorrow’s Harvest CD
My annual attempt at liking it. And failing. How on Earth did I end up with the cd AND record versions?

A huge pile of 7” singles (again)

Specials -‘Ghost Town’
Soft Cell - ‘What’
Tom Browne - ‘ Funkin For Jamaica (N.Y.)
lots of The Four Seasons (featuring the sound of Frankie Valli)
Carly Simon - ‘ Why’
Cabaret Voltaire - ‘Seconds Too Late’
Change - ‘Searching’ ( love this single, got it on release and none of my mates liked it, but I thought it was ace. Came out in 1980, The Wife said it sounds like Billy Ocean (Going Gets Tough) which is 1986 - I can hear what she means :))

This by the Small Faces has been played 5 times on the bounce, it is energy.
