Massive Attack / Mezzanine. Until today, I'd never heard this on vinyl. Some albums it makes no difference and I'd expected this to be one of them. 100% wrong. It's probably just more compression at the frequency extremes, but it's a total monster.

No idea. Nothing fancy though. The sleeve notes say nothing about a remaster. It's all bog standard, major label stuff isn't it?
