Trip Hop - Unkle, Tricky, Portishead, Allflaws

Thanks be that we all have different tastes....................

I am afraid that Beth drives me up the wall as a solo artist, she comes across to me as far too obsessed with herself, her own voice (and I love female vocals in all genres).............................. It takes all sorts. :)

Since my last visit to this thread.......

Listened again to Maxinquaye. Still not really my thing.
The latest Beth Gibbons: worth playing a couple more times, as I'm slightly on the fence. Not an instant grower.
Someone mentioned Raven Numan: only a couple of tracks on Qobuz, and right up my street. Not really trip hop, though.
The biggest success for far: Tosca Suzuki, and Osam.

Yes some stuff just won't resonate.
I'm liking Raven Numans tracks. She's a new comer with a cool sound.

Good thread. If you haven't heard Anti Atlas yet, here is your chance. One of my absolute favourites. Composer is Ned Bigham. Some very advanced arrangements - exquisite music.
