The Conservative Party has clearly failed on every single metric where they (laughably) claimed competence in previous incarnations; economics, trade, law & order, stability, prosperity, living standards etc. All they have left is to follow Trump, Oban, QAnon etc to fascism. Looks like lame duck Sunak will order a Boris-style lock in at Westminster until his futile, ruinously expensive policy is forced through both houses. The more fascinating moves will be those of Starmer and Lammy.

Sunak has managed to shake the Magic Money Tree to find £75bn over six years for defence spending. How appropriate that it is St. George's Day, he can spend it on Spitfires. It seems we need to be "on a war footing" it is not clear who is the enemy but that's not important is it?
