Tom Waits vinyl remasters

Same chap seems to have a number of coloured vinyl editions up. someone seemed to suggest these were legit though. Are they?

I really don't know - have a look on discogs. These are the 8 LP releases they have listed, no hint of coloured vinyl there.

For me I was after getting certain ones like Alice, on vinyl where I only add the CD.

Pulled the pin out and bought Real Gone, Mule Variations and Blood Money as well as Alice.

Alice is great. Real gone is definitely "Remixed" and some tracks do sound quite different. Not listened and compared to the original though yet.

They said it was a restoration exercise of the Anti- releases originally, which implies that the master tapes were not looked after too well.

Tom Waits explains, ”This restoration project could arrogantly be compared to restoring a faded tapestry, a painstaking process that requires meticulous attention to each color faded thread. Spending months on something completed once, many years ago was necessary though cursedly laborious for us.”

The Elekras were mostly/all out of print on vinyl.

I'm closing in on being a TW vinyl completist, I even have most of the 2018 RMs in both black and coloured versions.

I'm still looking for Rain Dogs and Franks Wild Years at reasonable prices.
