Stuff from the 70s. An all that.

Who else had one of these in the house?



I thought it was the dog’s danglers at the time, probably woeful now!

Still have one; saved it from my Nans when she died in 2013; remember using it as a kid

Used one of them huge batteries with spring-like connectors on top :D; weighed a ton!
 
The one I had was in a blue colour. I'm rather ashamed to admit that I threw it away when it became difficult to find anybody locally selling the big batteries it used.

Think I've blue one too, they were sold in the plumbers merchants for years along with the batteries, they were a kinda of plumber's torch, a staple along with a water key and footprints.

WOW - just had a flashback to the Raleigh Fourteen that I had in the Seventies. I hated that bike.

Soon got replaced with a peugeot eddy merckx that only took racing tyres that were very expensive, and very little tread. Did miles on that bike.
