Scratched lens

I’ve been using cameras since I was about eight years old. I’ve never scratched a lens, and can’t begin to imagine how I’d scratch a rear element. I used to fit screw-in filters when snapping rally cars in forests, but once I’d seen the damage to the lens caused by a piece of gravel smashing a filter, I stopped doing that. Unless it’s for creative purposes, I very rarely use them.

Anyway, doesn’t matter now, OP’s daughter hadn’t scratched hers either. Phew!
