If Britain First claim 5,000 members, I suspect that they're lying.

I'm not sure that anyone has 'declared war' on the SNP. The SNP has certainly declared hostilities against the Union, but in either case, war is definitely the wrong noun. War is happening in Ukraine.
 
What was interesting about the Tory Leadership hustings in Perth is that they were not televised like the others. Their presence in Northern Ireland was more bizarre- they don’t even have a single MP or assembly member. They appear to have the same function as a Farage bouncer-enforced walkabout in what he seems to regard as the provinces. It’s almost like a Fringe show but no one’s sure what the gag is. Speaking of which,

But EV, you hadn’t heard of their leader until this morning, how can you be so sure? They’ve infiltrated the Tory Party along with Kippers as instructed by their leaders. Moderate MPs and candidates were deselected - the ones who survived Johnson’s great purge- by radicalised constituency parties now run by the new members.

Also Jaydaaah’s no Evangelical Christian. She’s a criminal offender, like the leader of the EDL. She’s exploited the image in order to attack another religion. I’m not sure why you think the pose of a Christian evangelical would ‘go down well in Scotland’- church attendance has fallen precipitously as it has on your country.

Dunno, you may be right (you're the foreign trade guru). My guess would be there's a lot of salmon and other seafood, as well as the water of life.

Edit: as for the frictionless stuff, I'm sure a bespoke deal can be cobbled together by sensible people. Where there is a will, etc.

I think Britain First is probably far more interesting to you than it is to the vast majority of pretty much everyone else. As I said earlier, you do love to pitch a pantomime villain or two into the conversation. Perhaps its to distract from some less-than-savouries in and around the SNP.

Dunno EV I think you are scrapping the barrel now looking for a win. Wink Wink. But that's ok if I had advocated for Brexit as much as yourself I would be a tad prickly. Surprised you are not strong on the new leader thread given your standing and contacts in the 'De party'. A fine pair of candidates one has ever seen.
 
Just because someone does not conceal his dislike and distrust of the EU and all it stands for is no reason to label him a Tory, that`s an insult too far in my book and my views on membership of the EU are completely opposed to ET`s, as I understand them.

Wait till you see what the latest Brexit experiment is going to do to the peace in Northern Ireland. Truss’s Tory Party, the Kipper factions and the rump of extremist Unionism there are pouring oil on the fire in order to prosecute their dirty war with the EU. Brexit went down like a lead balloon in Scotland- it’s damaged our economy and we have a dreadful experienced labour shortage since EU citizens bailed out. The same forces are going to create further damage here. Their anti-Scottish Govt rhetoric is designed entirely to play to the Brexit home audience outside Scotland and Ireland.

Which reminds me, what happened to the Festival of Brexit, is it not supposed to be on this year? If it is, should Jerry Sadowitz and Frankie Boyle not be chairing the Scottish sessions?

I have also developed a distrust of the EU, and despite apparently being a Far Left Stalinist Comrade Trotskyist Marxist, I am also, according to some, “in bed” with EV. Now while the union of EV and myself would certainly produce beautifully centrist issue, hopefully with my looks, I fear the consummation would be somewhat unlikely.

I am a self-confessed small-c conservative. I regret that there's not much of that evident in the modern tory party.

Neither of two two current contenders will have me voting conservative at the next GE. Kemi Badenoch would have been my choice, though I'm aware that she's seen as the very worst kind of traitor by elements of the regressive illiberalism, undoubtedly because she would have spiked their bullshit.
