Rega: My absolute favorite unboxing, ever!

I purchased this today, arrived home late and got ready for bed but I couldn’t sleep. I just had to crack open the box.

Out of all the Hifi products purchased in my life so far and many, many of them from Rega, this Rega unboxing has been my favorite. Stellar little surprises and excellent touches. I had a great time. The product itself is absolutely outstanding in fit and finish. I have not hooked her up yet though as it got late. I am so excited to pair this with my RP10/Apheta 2 combo...

I ADORE the Egyptian Cotton pillow case.

I just had to share. Back to bed now..
 
25kg+ they shipping bricks with that phono stage? :p

Nice touch having it so well presented, high end kit should be an experience to unpack, well done Rega.
 
Rega's customers need to get out more, maybe down the gym. 12.5Kg per person?? :)

Actually it says 13Kg on the Rega website, so probably Ok to unbox it on your own.
 
No grab handles on the outer box, only the inner crate.

Taking the Osiris back to their factory, was an absolute killer, 30 kilos plus, for a little squirt like me.

More importantly, a great product.

Great packaging and customer back up.

Bring on the Aethos range CD/dac/streamer please :)

So is it OK to mention audiophile mains cables with trick plugs on now that Rega apparently supply them? Or will it still cause a hissy fit in some quarters?
 
25 Kg - what the hell have they got in there, depleted Uranium? Phono stages are supposed to be full of air with a circuit board the size of one of those Brazilian postage stamps with the butterflies on.

I didn't realise that Rega are going for the Roman Abramovitch market. His cornflakes probably come in similar packaging and weigh 25 Kg each.

I'm sorry but that is way over the top for me :) Where are the blobs of solder and individual strands of copper wire?
