Yes, it's both a positive and negative to Qobuz - you can be presented with say four or more different versions of the same album - originals, remasters, plus the different resolution options for both in many cases. As you've alluded to they're not all good and the newest remaster isn't, by default, the best (it's sometimes just louder with less dynamic range).
For example, there's three Hi-Res (24/48, 24/96, 24/192) and two 16/44 versions of this, I do wonder is these count as a single album or five when Qobuz refer to the quantity of music available:
