What a disastrous vote. Brexit, Trump - just need WW3 to round the year off.
Cheer up. Putin was one of the first to congratulate Trump. This means World War III is less likely to happen than if Clinton had won.
I have been saying Trump might win for months. He is racist, sexist, has promised to build a high border wall and kick out several million illegal Latinos. I kind of doubt he will back down and America will become an even more scary place.
Not to worry though, Trump is going to assassinate his own nation through climate change, by doing away with all green policies.
I can understand why so many people voted for him. I have been unemployed in the UK in the past. In the Net age you have to apply for apply for jobs via email and nobody answers them. Meanwhile ever more immigrants are coming into London, taking the jobs and depressing the wages through supply and demand.
I didn't vote for Brexit and would have supported Green in America during the election. However I know the frustration and anger that hits people when they're unemployed and the government elite do f*** all except make their life worse.
There was a critical subtext to Merkel's congratulatory message to Trump and Hollande hasn't exactly embraced him. May on the other hand appears to want to get on her knees as soon as possible.
I noticed all the musicians supporting Clinton, from Jay Z and Beyonce to Lady Gaga. Springsteen got in on the act a couple of days ago, even though he said in interviews he wouldn't support Clinton directly.
I saw the first gig that Springsteen played in the UK at Hammersmith Odeon. Throwing your weight behind such a corrupt politician as Clinton was a foolish move though. A lot of people in America realized this and that is why in part she failed.
I hope that the Democrats draft in Michelle Obama to be their next Presidential candidate.
Trump's win shows how an outsider can overcome lying polls, continual media and 'expert' criticism, to win a political election. Corbyn and Labour/Momentum could do exactly the same thing.
