There's no special sauce to my B&W conversions - they're shot in camera (Fuji X100s WYSIWYG) as raw files using the B&W film simulation with a red filter, then uploaded into Lightroom where I apply a preset (which I've created) on import which honours the camera settings. I don't even see them as colour files.

Obviously, there's some digital darkroom going on to get the look I want - I use Nik's Analog Efex for this. I created a custom camera preset which has reduced the amount of time playing around with sliders.

There is a learning curve to using image editing software for image manipulation and I'm still learning...
