And while were on the general topic I'd recommend David Thomas's 80s solo stuff, More Places Forever and Monster Walks The Lake are especially good IMHO.
I have no Pere Ubu on vinyl these days, ex may just have kept a couple of lp's. I saw a couple of their gigs in the late 70's, very impressed by the lead singer and his lump hammer on mild steel bar, beat keeping and audience control.
