Nextel paint ?

Maybe Nextel is the wrong way to go but surely someone restoring all those A77/B77 tape decks has a decent alternative that will last without going blurgh.

Thinking about it, my snow boarding helmet has gone sticky too. Nice Matt finish when bought, now odd and gooey sticky.....

Nextel would appear to be an excellent undercoat....

I have stripped the outer case on my B77 with meths and I am going to respray it with grey primer followed by Slate grey plastic bumper paint from Halfords

Is the plastic bumper finish available in matt??

This is what I said, It gave a very nice finish way better that Nextel which I hate TBH
Its getting that Nextel off thats the hard part

Just got round to painting the back panel on my B77.
After removing the Nextel coating and a good rub down and de-grese with panel wipe, I gave it 2 coats of Halfords Gray Primer.
The best match I could find for the colour of the front panel was peugeot graphite grey metallic which needs a couple of clear lacquer coat as well.
These aren't the best spray cans but did a half decent job in the end

I'm lucky really...the only Nextel finish that I'm removing is on the Reel 'tables'!
Used good old fashioned Meths....finish just floats off!!!
