Yeah, it's rubbish. That stylus guard design really is an accident waiting to happen - best not use it methinks.

Cool, but a little concerned about the threaded plastic body. I'm sure Rega are correct about it being strong enough but you just know that there will be some morons out there who will crank the heck out of it and strip the threads.A brief review of the ND3 by The Ear https://the-ear.net/review-hardware/rega-nd3-redefines-budget-mm-cartridge/
Sounds rather encouraging
It's a horrible task. There is a knack to it. I've done it so many times now that I'm quite good at it but it's a problem that should not exist in 2024.Reading along, I really dislike when the cartridge pins are suddenly smaller and you have to squeeze those Rega horseshoe tags (with a tweezer or something) - on a non-detachable HS arm.
I'm sure it will. It'll just take them a while to produce enough stock of the things.Interesting, there’s a lot of stuff that’s NOT in that review, but it sounds very promising, I still think the Nd5 is the one for me, just hope it comes along soon!
But the Exact was the only Rega MM cart with the three-point fixing. Now they all have it.The Ear review imples it's innovative in introducing 3-point fixing to its MMs, which is not true (my Exact has it).
The Elys had it too. https://www.rega.co.uk/products/elys-2. (Not the Bias, indeed). But the Exact was the only Rega MM cart with the three-point fixing. Now they all have it.
Oh yeah, so it did! You'd think I'd know that, having one here ;0)The Elys had it too.
I wonder how many 'stripped threads' it takes before someone learns that one shouldn't take the 'scaffold pole assisted' approach to tightening machine screws in small threads?Cool, but a little concerned about the threaded plastic body. Yes. I think it's naive to assume that people will follow your instructions. Don't think I've ever seen a carriage with threaded plastic before. I suspect there is a reason for that and Rega might come to regret their choice. Even the forty-quid VM95 has brass inserts.I wonder how many 'stripped threads' it takes before someone learns that one shouldn't take the 'scaffold pole assisted' approach to tightening machine screws in small threads?
I’m surprised and a little disappointed it’s a nude elliptical….The ND5 is now official.
