It’s balanced XLR. Manual is online now.
Yes seems like new cables and dongles/adapters will be available to allow compatibility between the generations of boxes.I've read that a cable set for use with legacy pre-amps will be available for the new 250 Power amp
what are they sounding like? where would they fit in sound wise to the older stuff? im guessing better than a ndx2/282/hicap/250?
It’s got to be good if it can make Sopras listenable.Well our new (original seems to have gone on a walkabout within DPD) New Classic NAP 250 was delivered today
I do like the message from Naim Audio which is printed on the inside of the new Classic Series packaging -
Btw, I've not had the opportunity to compare New Classic 200 Series to the NAC 282, etc. however I can say that as I write this the New Classic NAP 250 and Sopra 2’s are sounding sublime

Need to get some balanced xlr cables now but can't decide whether to go with the mogami gold or some AES / EBU ones. Either way I don't want to spend more than £100 quid...
Ordered and now waiting for a 222 and NPX 300 to use with my 250DR for now.
If the pre-amp sounds as good as 252 then everyone will be happy.
Obviously the one that people can listen to, the streamer pre-amp.Do you mean new streamer preamp or the upcoming new analog preamps ?
I believe some users prefer 52 to 252, but thats subjective.
There's even some that prefer 282 to 252.
I've hardly seen a scenario where everyone happy.
Must have learned lessons from the atom launch, which was awful. I actually ordered one when first announced but after 6 months of waiting I cancelled and bought a rega brio and dac-rAccording to the thread over on Naim forum, people seem to have had a first listen ww.
Some even got their orders delivered instantly.
Thats a pretty impressive logistic performed in full secrecy up to release.
Salisbury must have had a busy 2022 manufacturing all these boxes, how many dealers to get a demo pair ? with the message to keep mouth shut until embargo release.
I wouldn't be surprised if the 300 serie is presented in Munich this year, maybe earlier.
It could be 333 streamer, 333 preamp with 300 mono's and already released 300 psu.
NSC222/NEW NAP250 - £15K
Thanks, edited. Even better vfmIt’s £11.4k?
I doubt it sounds better than any of ones above it or that that it’s a 252 level preamp inside, but the new 250 should be good. Funnily enough looking at first impressions from the 250 (much faster, very tight, dynamic..) reminds me of how Teddy Pardo amps and monoblocks sound(ed) relative to Naim and what people liked them for? ))
many are suggesting that the 222 is closer to 252 in SQ.
