A few days on and I'm really starting to like the AV8, Exposure in av-bypass, and 3 channel Alpha 10. For the first minute or so I forgot to switch on the 3 channal Arcam (didn't get around to connecting the trigger cable) and was very impressed with it in two channel mode (sub not switched on either). I was watching the Ring thing on Prime so not much happening on the rears anyway (no helicopter gunships in middle earth), but goes to show that stereo on some movies can sound great.
Magically, or maybe not so much given the content, something decided to give me subtitles on the TV until the centre chanel was switched on. Gandalf alive and well and living in my sofa?
I am tempted to get one of the few remaining Arcam AVR10s and worry more about power amps sometime in the future.
