Low end Naim Question

If I was you and it had to be Naim (though room, speakers and tastes obviously a factor), I'd buy a s/h Nait XS or XS2. Very good amps, low box count, future classics.

If it didn't have to be Naim, I'd buy a modern Rega integrated like a shot. Sorry to be a bore about this, but my Elicit 5 continues to outperform the 82/HiCap/250 that were in this room a year ago.

Keep it simple and don’t chase your tail IMHO. I went from 4 Naim boxes to 1 (non Naim). Couldn’t be happier.

Then don't buy it, no one is forcing you. The OP asked a question and some of us are trying to help, there are plenty of threads about how rubbish and overpriced Naim is (you should know as you post vociferously on most of them) so perhaps just leave this one alone.

I'm on that journey too, what did you settle for?

Went in a completely different direction with a Yamaha RN803. Does everything bar pour me a glass of wine. If I were buying now, I’d probably go for the RN1000, or 2000 if I wanted to spend more.
