That's a good idea Phil, you get two outputs which is perfect and like you say, they are extremely low noise. I spoke with John Luckins about this at one point he was going to give it a go, not sure he did though.
i have both channels running as a stereo (with one psu running both channels). One has DC offset 35mv and the other 63mv.
The one with 63mv has some problem with TR8 - although it's working fine (and sounds good), TR8 runs very hot and once at louder volume it emitted SMOKE! It is definitely an order hotter than the other 3 in the system.
Is this a DC offset problem? If not any ideas?
EDIT: turns out emitter on TR10 had a bad connection and was dropping a few volts. Not to worry...
